Personal Reflection on Reconnecting with My Creative Core

Friday 13 October 2017 - Posted by Julia McCutchen

I am like the seed cracked open by the cold, dark winter whose harsh bite cuts through the closed form that contains the full potential and creates the gap through which life pours.

The literal crack on the crown of my head from a falling stage spotlight dismantles my everyday shell in an instant, yet my journey through the ensuing darkness seems to last an eternity.

The initial glimpse of grace becomes lost in uncertainty as my body, mind and emotions struggle to surface from the void.

I am completely undone.

All I can do is breathe.

Deepest Surrender

The pure simplicity of this timeless anchor guides me into the deepest surrender where I learn the truth of letting go.

As the final remnants of the old form dissolve, the first hint of light lifts the veil of night. The new life of spring is stirring at last.

I learn to live, love and release the questions as I melt into essence and commit to expressing Truth consciously and creatively through the form of my being.

Genuine Expression

In full acceptance of not knowing how, a new life is crafted in each moment.

Who I am merges with what I do as a genuine expression of my creative core.

Finally discovering the fractal whole of simultaneous focus and eternal flow, the warmth of the summer sun brings fullness where once a broken shell felt like the journey’s end.

This is one of the “Personal Reflections” extracted from my book Conscious Writing (see p 200) and relates to exploring creativity as a conscious enquiry.
