Discover Your Highest Inspiration

Friday 25 January 2019 - Posted by Julia McCutchen

Life can change with a single stroke as I’ve experienced countless times over the years with varying degrees of severity.

A car crash on New Year’s day was yet another reminder for me not to take anything for granted or put off what my heart is calling me to be and do till some imaginary future.

It may feel tough initially.

Yet these wake-up calls serve as significant opportunities to review what’s genuinely important and ensure that I’m in alignment with my highest inspiration.

Intuitive Feeling

However, it’s not always easy to identify what that is by thinking it through amidst the hustle of everyday.

In fact my most meaningful discoveries have always been revealed through intuitive feeling rather than rational thought.

I know what my real priorities are because I feel excitement and an uplifting quality of lightness.

Innate Capacity

This felt sense is an innate capacity you can develop by dropping your attention into your heart and body, and trusting what you feel when you check-in to discover your highest inspiration(s).

You don’t need to wait for turning point moments to make sure you’re on track in your life and work.

Dive in now, and “Follow your bliss!”*

I’m continuing to experiment with the challenge of writing “quick read” blogs in 200 words or less. Enjoy!

  • Julia – I’m so sorry to hear about your accident, and hope you didn’t sustain any lasting injuries. You are a light in the world, and we need your voice. Which I see we have.Keep going. I know you will.
I’m experimenting with what I call the “Healing Pause.” Freqeunt stops during the day (can be as short as 15 seconds) just to check in, see who’s home, adjust accordingly. Does wonders, get in touch with what’s real and what’s in your heart.

    • Thank you so much Peter, I truly appreciate your comments. I’m on the mend now and no lasting damage so I’m counting my blessings!

I love your “Healing Pause” practice. It echoes a similar practice I have which I think of as a “Conscious Moment” when I also check in to my internal alignment and especially the presence of my heart. So we’re clearly “on the same page”!

  • I like your short and sweet blogs, straight to the point! Two weeks on a sun kissed island in the Indian Ocean gave me plenty of time and space to follow my bliss and be inspired for the next steps in my writing journey.

    • Thanks Jeanine, I’m so glad you like them. They’re an interesting creative challenge for me to play with at the moment!

Your holiday sounds blissful and I’m delighted to hear that you’re feeling inspired for the next steps on your writing journey. Enjoy 🙂

    • Thank you Roe. I’m grateful for your good wishes and your comment. Simple and to the point is hopefully also inspiring and refreshing!

  • When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! I think, Julia, your intuitive feeling sensation is absolutely right as a ‘peak moment’ to perk up to and ‘Carpe Diem’. I’ve noticed my body goes ‘upright’ when I ‘receive’ the empowering message from my intuition. Peter Gibb is absolutely right regarding pausing for a heart check in, and I think this is really good when the inspiring intuition comes in order to embed it more deeply into our Being.

    • Absolutely Peter, I couldn’t agree more! It’s great to hear that you’re so conscious of how your body indicates a message from your intuition. The body has an innate wisdom and intelligence that is so often forgotten or ignored. I also appreciate your point about embedding the inspiring intuition more deeply into our Being – beautifully put!
