The Power of Storytelling to Find Your Voice and Inspire Your Creativity
12th July 2012
Storytelling is one of the oldest and most powerful tools of influence and sources of inspiration. We are all storytellers; we tell the stories of our life all the time! Whether it's how we got to where we are right now or how we met our partners, we are constantly telling our stories.
These stories are completely subjective; we choose what, and how, to tell our stories, and this is what creates our reality. Fantastic, if the stories are serving us well, but often we get stuck in stories we have inherited or acquired that don’t support us.
In the writing process, the story is the key. Not just in order to express our creative spirit but also in order to stay in our process and achieve our goals.
In this interview Lisa will offer practical guidance, clear strategies and inspiring revelations based on a wealth of experience and an exceptional talent for finding the story in every moment. She will discuss:
- The power of storytelling as an integral part of our creativity.
- How our personal story is the very best way to 'show up' in our writing and in our lives.
- The key stories that sabotage our results, keep us stuck and hinder our success.
- A powerful approach to creating the stories that will inspire and empower ourselves and our readers.
- Tips and strategies to keep us engaged in positive personal storytelling to enhance our writing process and keep us aligned with our purpose.
