Writing to Reflect the Real You

Friday 02 March 2018 - Posted by Julia McCutchen

In a recent mentoring session with a woman who’s exploring Conscious Writing for the first time, there was a truly magical moment.

All of a sudden, the struggle to find the core message at the heart of her story and the voice to share what she feels passionate about sharing just dropped away.

It was like someone had switched the lights on and she could see exactly what she needed to do and how to express herself on the page with words that could only come through her.

After many years of false starts and unfulfilled dreams, she felt completely aligned and knew she was on her way at last.

At the Core of Conscious Writing

I love facilitating that kind of experience for people who have a great deal to share yet can’t quite find their way in to the inner space of clarity required for writing in a truly authentic way.

In fact that’s what lies at the core of Conscious Writing, and the Process to access this powerful and present creative state of being has been proven time and again.

I’m sharing this with you today because if writing is one of your priorities this year, you might be interested to know that there’s an opportunity for you to experience all of this coming up soon.

Writing in Deep Flow

I don’t do many one day workshops but I will be in London on Saturday 17 March to lead an event called Discover Your True Voice through Conscious Writing hosted by leading UK Events Organiser Alternatives.

I always love the unmistakable impact of a room full of writers in deep flow!

So if this resonates with you at any level, join us to experience the full Conscious Writing Process live, and enjoy being delightfully surprised as your writing flows through you rather than coming from you.

Connect and Be Heard

You’ll also have the chance to connect with me and other like-minded writers, and from past experience, this often leads to buddy partnerships and long term friendships being formed.

That kind of peer group support is priceless, not to mention the work you’ll do in small groups to be truly heard and fully acknowledged as a writer.

It doesn’t matter what you want to write or where you are in the process.

Some people show up with lots of ideas but no clarity or any writing done; others are already published and ready to explore the next level of expressing their voice in new and original ways.

Writing to Reflect the Real You

Above all, if writing is part of your personal or professional life and you’d like your words to reflect the real you, adopting a conscious approach will deliver that result.

In the process, it will also lead you to discover a whole lot more about the “real you”.

Henry David Thoreau advised, “Be yourself – not your idea of what you think somebody else’s idea of yourself should be.”

The same applies to your writing; now is the time to write what you’re truly here to write – consciously, creatively and joyfully!
