Here in the UK, the first day of March signals that spring is just around the corner, and after many months of winter, that is good news indeed!
February is usually my least favourite month but this year it has been completely different because I have been engaged with the successful launch of a brand new creation into the world (the IACCW).
From now on, February will be associated with that uplifting and transformative energy. This is a positive shift for me and I am looking forward to carrying this new energy forwards onto the next level I now find myself on.
Before we say goodbye to winter altogether, or simply the month which has passed, why not take the opportunity to think about what mindset shift(s) might be useful for you at this time of change?
Perhaps there is something you can let go of which has been holding back your progress with writing your book or moving forwards on the path to publication?
Or maybe you can re-organise your priority list to allow for more focus on all of your activities relating to the business of your authorship?
I invite you to share your thoughts and choices of what you are letting go of and what mindset shift you are committing to by posting your comments below.
Letting go of the old to make way for the new is a constant companion for most creative souls so here’s to a fresh start for this Monday 1st March and may it see you through to a joyful next stage on your own writing journey.
Enjoy …

Hi Julia
Thankyou for your informative newsletter which I always take a few moments to read when it arrives. And congratulations on your recent success in bringing IACCW into the world.
As a woman the thing I’m choosing to let go of is the delusion that my mind and body are up for the same challenges no matter where I am in my monthly cycle. By tuning into my body and tracing my strengths and vulnerabilities all through the month I am beginning to identify when it’s right for me to pursue certain projects and activities, and when it’s right to rest from them. I find this to be tremendously liberating, gives me ideal times to focus, and enables me to put a lot less pressure on myself at times when I’m not quite so well-equipped to deal with it.
Thanks again for a great resource.
Juliet
I’ve noticed that the process of “letting go,” of that which “holds me back,” seems more about “filling myself up” with different, more joyful information. The more I “fill myself” with information/ knowledge that’s more accurate and in synch with what feels best, the more joyful my experiences. Old, conflicting information that has been a driving force for a lifetime seems to dissolve effortlessly…perhaps it simply moves from the foreground into the background! In receiving the new, I am well on my way to, “letting go” of the old and with that a whole, wonderful sea change occurs.
I am letting go of the reluctance to pick up the phone to talk to agents about sending off my book proposal. Or perhaps it is terror. whatever it is, I want it out of my life so that I can move on.
Hello Juliet
Thank you for your comments about my newsletter and the IACCW. I am delighted to hear that you take the time to read and enjoy what I have written – long may that continue!
I agree that connecting in to your cycle is a powerful way to go with the natural flow of energies and is certainly part of living a conscious and creative life, as a writer and as a woman.
Thanx for sharing …
Julia
Hi Dana
I love the way you have expressed this – “filling yourself up with joyful information” certainly sounds good to me! What a wonderful way of letting go of the old and what no longer serves you. Lovely!
Julia
Hello Pamela
I’m so pleased to hear that you are letting go of this reluctance so that you can move on. I recommend you have a list of plenty of agents to approach so that each one individually carries less weight of importance for you … and then just go for it! Once you have crossed the threshold a few times, it will feel less daunting. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
